About the Role

We are seeking two full-time, permanent Project Coordinators to join our Major Projects team. This is a valuable chance to support key civic and infrastructure initiatives that will influence Tauranga's future landscape. The Major Projects team manages some of Tauranga's most critical and high visibility infrastructure developments aimed at fostering city growth, enhancing mobility, and delivering enduring advantages to the community.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with Programme and Project Managers to provide essential project coordination, reporting, administrative assistance, and systems management throughout the project lifecycle. You will help ensure data accuracy and accessibility, support financial and governance reporting, and contribute ideas for improving workflows and operational efficiency. Your role is vital in keeping projects well organized, systematically documented, and progressing as planned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Relevant experience in project coordination roles.
  • Proficiency with project management systems, processes, documentation, and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational abilities paired with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage well with diverse teams.
  • A passion for enhancing procedures and discovering better approaches to tasks.
  • Capability to support dynamic project teams with adaptability and a constructive attitude.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
