Machine Learning Engineer - AI Data Trainer

About the Role

Alignerr works with top AI research groups and laboratories to develop and train advanced AI systems. This opportunity focuses on capturing how a large language model thinks through a task and acts on it step by step. The work involves producing clear, structured reasoning records that reflect planning, tool usage, and decision-making so models can learn to reason more consistently in practical situations.

This is an hourly contract role based remotely, with a workload of 10 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Write well-organized reasoning traces for technically demanding tasks.
• Record the sequence of planning and decision-making in a clear format.
• Build training examples that demonstrate effective tool usage in real-world logic scenarios.

Requirements

• A background in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
• The ability to explain complex technical and logical steps clearly in writing.
• Strong analytical ability to assess and improve how AI systems make decisions.
• Previous exposure to data annotation, data quality, or evaluation workflows is preferred.
