They offer services including integrity due diligence, employment background verification, third-party risk evaluations, compliance checks, and specialized investigative research. Operating globally with expertise spanning Asia Pacific, Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and North America, they serve mainly financial, governmental, and multinational sectors to mitigate risks associated with economic crime.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive investigative research, including public record analysis and field intelligence gathering.
- Develop and sustain professional relations with government entities providing public data.
- Collect, integrate, and critically assess research findings and investigation outcomes.
- Identify warning signs such as legal cases, politically exposed individuals, sanctions, adverse media reports, and discrepancies in employment or qualifications.
- Compose clear, structured, and objective reports assessing the credibility, background, and reputation of companies and key stakeholders.
- Manage multiple cases involving due diligence, background screening, and insurance claim investigations from initiation to completion.
- Monitor case progress ensuring deadlines are met and follow-up actions communicated with external parties.
- Assist with document management relevant to investigative analyses.
- Coordinate work efforts with international colleagues and external vendors to fulfill project objectives.
- Exhibit sound professional judgment driven by commitment to organizational excellence and vision.
- Adhere to prevailing and upcoming ISO standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet company needs.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Journalism, Law, International Relations, or related disciplines.
- Between 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Preference for candidates with prior exposure to due diligence, legal research, investigations, or risk management.
- Eligibility to access courts and police records for investigative purposes.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive pre-employment screening, including drug tests and background checks.
- Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Strong report-writing capabilities.
Specialized Experience Areas
- Verification of educational background.
- Authentication of professional memberships and affiliations.
- Review of pre-employment history covering a decade.
- Conducting international credit checks.
- Performing international criminal record examinations based on jurisdiction.
