Job description
Role Overview
The Enterprise Strategy and Design division is currently looking for an Intelligence Analyst to become part of the Physical Security Management team. In this capacity, you will gather and scrutinize information to evaluate physical security risks affecting the ATO's personnel, data, and assets. Your role includes detecting emerging threats and patterns to produce both tactical and strategic intelligence reports.
Key Responsibilities
Operating in a fast-paced setting, you will utilize a diverse range of information channels to deliver prompt threat assessments. These intelligence insights will influence the development of security measures, allocation of resources, and policy formulation. Collaboration with internal partners and external intelligence and law enforcement bodies is essential to create security intelligence products offering actionable advice to security consultants and decision-makers.
Work Environment and Requirements
You will access a broad spectrum of open and classified sources to safeguard ATO staff, information, and assets from physical threats. The position mandates working onsite a minimum of three days weekly because of the need to interact with secured systems that are inaccessible remotely, handle classified data, and manage ASNet for the ATO. Opportunities for these roles exist on ongoing or fixed-term bases in locations such as Adelaide, Canberra, Upper Mount Gravatt, or Wollongong.
Diversity and Inclusion
The organisation values the diversity of its workforce and perspectives. Commitment to fair recruitment practices is evident, encouraging applications from individuals with disabilities, neurodivergent candidates, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, along with individuals from various other backgrounds. Assistance and reasonable accommodations will be provided throughout the recruitment process as required.
