Role Overview
The Heavy Bus Driver position is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai. The driver will operate heavy buses safely on assigned routes such as airport transfers, hotel runs, staff transportation, tours, and event services. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections before and after trips, adhering to time schedules, complying with traffic and company safety regulations, and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for passengers.
The driver will also assist passengers during boarding and alighting as necessary, report mechanical issues or incidents to the supervisor, maintain trip documentation, and liaise with dispatch and customer service teams to guarantee efficient and timely transportation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a valid UAE heavy bus driving license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy buses or commercial passenger vehicles in both urban and intercity contexts.
- Thorough understanding of UAE road rules, traffic laws, and safe driving standards.
- Effective communication skills in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
- Good navigation abilities and familiarity with Dubai and intercity routes; competent in using GPS and basic transportation technologies.
- Customer-oriented approach with patience, courtesy, and a focus on passenger safety.
- Physical fitness to endure long periods of sitting and to assist passengers with boarding and luggage handling.
- Flexibility to work varying hours including weekends and holidays.
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; previous employment in tourism or passenger transport sectors is an advantage.
