General Merchandise Associate

Position Overview

Working as a General Merchandise Associate at a leading retail company in Canada offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers courteously, helping them locate products, promoting offerings, guiding purchase decisions, and addressing concerns or directing issues appropriately.
• Manage and maintain assigned sales floor sections, ensuring areas are well-organized and visually appealing.
• Perform zoning duties to secure optimal product presentation.
• Relocate feature merchandise back to designated shelf locations.
• Retrieve merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other in-store areas to replenish shelves.
• Support Front End operations as needed to maintain smooth customer experiences.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members to ensure continuous floor coverage and customer service availability.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company policies, completing safety checks, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Stock merchandise efficiently, including picking and downstocking when necessary; apply product protection measures and set modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.50 (CAD).
