General Manager

About the Role

This position is with an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise, not directly with McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's branding and food products but acts as the separate employer overseeing hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, and discipline within the restaurant.

The General Manager plays a crucial role in running a profitable, high-volume restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald's critical standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role involves collaboration with company leadership to set and execute restaurant goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Department Managers by helping them establish objectives and monitoring their progress.
• Provide coaching and guidance to improve departmental performance, directly impacting overall restaurant success.
• Hire and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a strong team for future leadership.
• Ensure the restaurant maintains its high standards in customer service and operational quality.
• Collaborate with the restaurant leader to develop and implement operational goals.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants will have prior general management experience at high-volume quick service restaurants, or related hospitality or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify as managers in corporate-owned locations.
