About the Role
The Education Solutions Engineer position at Google involves leading the technical integration and innovation efforts for Google for Education across educational institutions such as universities and schools. This role focuses on designing, architecting, and deploying Google solutions at scale, including emerging technologies like Gemini AI.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer academic and business needs to design solutions integrating Gemini AI into existing systems.
- Serve as a technical advocate for Gemini, showcasing its features through presentations, workshops, and public engagements.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to relay customer insights, influence development roadmaps, and monitor industry trends.
- Deliver impactful Gemini demonstrations and address technical inquiries throughout sales and adoption stages.
- Manage technical solution components including bid responses, briefings, partner training, proof-of-concept projects, and coordinating related technical resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or comparable practical experience.
- Minimum of eight years in technical sales, solutions consulting, sales engineering, education technology, or similar fields.
- Strong background in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and web technologies.
- Experience in deploying Google for Education tools technically.
- Responsible for technical architecture oversight at universities, school groups, or related institutions.
- Preferred: Over five years in sales engineering or technical consultancy.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their educational applications.
- Experience in promoting technology adoption and change management.
- Deep knowledge of Higher Education/K-12 IT infrastructure and identity management systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Comprehensive understanding of Google for Education tools.
