Position Overview
This full-time, on-site role based in Jiddah requires a professional Driver responsible for the safe operation of trucks and ground support vehicles. Duties include transporting equipment, baggage, and cargo within airport boundaries while ensuring safety and coordination with ground operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate trucks and ground service vehicles safely within the airport premises.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
- Follow designated routes and schedules diligently.
- Adhere strictly to airport safety, security protocols, and traffic regulations.
- Coordinate effectively with ground operations to respond promptly to operational needs.
- Manage proper loading and unloading processes in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in truck driving and safe vehicle handling, especially in airport or logistics environments.
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A or equivalent license for heavy vehicles with a commendable safe driving record.
- Strong communication abilities to liaise with teams and follow instructions accurately.
- Professional customer service skills for interactions with passengers, airline personnel, and coworkers.
- Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and capability to conduct routine safety checks.
- Familiarity with airport safety, security, and traffic rules or readiness to acquire such knowledge swiftly.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting.
- Minimum education level of high school diploma or equivalent; experience in aviation, logistics, or transportation is advantageous.
