Role Overview

We are seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of our Vehicle Logistic Center (VLC) located in Nisku, Alberta. This position requires attentiveness, adaptability to shifting priorities, careful execution of duties, and reliability in task completion. The ideal candidate possesses prior custodian experience within a similar setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine cleaning of building interiors including walls, floors, doors, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and floor buffing.
  • Sanitize and maintain washrooms ensuring they are fully stocked.
  • Perform exterior property maintenance such as light landscaping, trash removal, and upkeep of the lawn, parking areas, and walkways.
  • Dispose of waste, compost, and recycling materials appropriately.
  • Prepare and clean auction lanes before and after sale days.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal through manual efforts or operating equipment like plows, bobcats, or salting devices.
  • Support minor repair and maintenance projects when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience as a custodian or in a similar capacity.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience driving both manual (standard) and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Familiarity with maintenance equipment such as floor cleaners and buffers.
