Role Overview
This full-time, on-site CNC Programmer position based in Singapore entails developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machining programs for components used in wind energy equipment. The objective is to ensure machining accuracy, productivity, and compliance with technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and machining strategies for milling and machining operations.
- Set up, test, and troubleshoot CNC machines and their programs to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve operational cycle times, minimize material scrap, and uphold stringent safety and quality protocols.
- Document machining processes and support initiatives aimed at continuous process improvements.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory compliance standards consistently.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong aptitude in CNC programming and manufacturing process programming.
- Hands-on proficiency in machining and milling operations, including tool selection and setup.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
- Experience with CNC machine controls and CAM/CAE software is highly advantageous.
- Possession of a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior work experience in precision manufacturing or heavy engineering sectors, ideally within energy or industrial equipment fields.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement, supplemented by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication capabilities and aptitude for collaborative work within an interdisciplinary team at the workplace.
