Role Overview

The Cloud Applications QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for guaranteeing the quality, reliability, and performance of platforms including NaaS, xVNE, Launchpad, and supporting systems such as OCS. The focus is on test automation and quality engineering practices to ensure robust testing and validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and scripts for cloud applications.
• Translate user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements into detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Conduct both automated and manual testing to verify application functionalities, integrations, and data flows end-to-end.
• Validate fixes, new features, and enhancements to meet quality standards and prevent regressions.
• Ensure extensive coverage of functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing.
• Utilize AI-driven tools and automation methods to improve test design, execution efficiency, and defect detection.
• Engage in release validations including pre-production testing and post-deployment checks.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, network, and business teams to embed quality into the development cycle.
• Analyze test outcomes, track defects, and communicate findings clearly to all stakeholders.
• Continuously refine testing procedures, frameworks, and tools to boost software quality, speed, and reliability.
• Maintain and enhance continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline integration for automated testing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise with test automation frameworks and tools, including API, UI, and data testing.
• Experience deriving test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Golang, Python, or JavaScript for automation purposes.
• Experience with data extraction, SQL, and reporting techniques.
• Strong focus on customer and stakeholder needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools for code generation, analysis, monitoring, or reporting purposes.
• Capability to use AI to boost productivity, validate data, and optimize operations.
• Initiative to identify opportunities for automating repetitive processes and improving workflows.
• Telecommunications industry experience is advantageous.
