Cashier

Overview

The position of Cashier is vital in delivering swift, friendly, precise, and safe service to customers. Cashiers handle checkout and return transactions and oversee the Self-Checkout areas. They actively enhance their product and project knowledge to better assist customers and identify opportunities to boost sales.

Key Duties

• Process checkout and return transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor and manage the Self-Checkout zone to ensure smooth customer experience.
• Engage in continuous learning about products and projects to provide informative responses to customer queries.
• Identify potential selling opportunities to support sales growth.
• Adhere strictly to company policies to reduce shrinkage.

Head Cashier Responsibilities

• Assign cashier positions and assist by expediting price checks.
• Authorize Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Serve as the initial escalation point for customer concerns.
• Support and mentor frontline associates by coaching and participating in training new cashiers.

Additional Information

Preferred candidates for the Head Cashier role should have at least one year of experience in cashier work.
