Role Overview

The Assistant Support Worker role involves providing compassionate care and support to service users, encouraging their independence to live meaningful, fulfilling lives through personalized care plans. The role includes assisting with daily activities, community engagement, skill development, and routine living tasks.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Helping individuals follow their personalized daily plans.
  • Supporting community participation and outings.
  • Facilitating education, skill advancement, and personal goal achievement.
  • Assisting with everyday living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and facilitating family visits.
  • Complying with company policies, professional standards, regulations, and ethical codes.
  • Participating in shift work covering all hours across every day of the week.

Skills and Eligibility

  • No prior qualification required for the Assistant Support Worker role; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Social Care Workers must hold a Level 7 or 8 degree in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related field and be registered with CORU.
  • Relevant life experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A positive and dedicated attitude toward supporting others is essential.
  • Possession of a Full Driver’s Licence or actively working towards obtaining one is required.

Additional Information

The position is based in Sixmilebridge, County Clare, Ireland with a frontline salary range of 30,000 to 35,000 euros annually.
