Internship Role Overview
As a Supply Chain and Sourcing Executive intern, you will engage in multiple facets of product sourcing and supply chain management, supporting the company’s efforts to maintain quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify promising new and trending products through detailed market research.
- Source products and components, ensuring backup suppliers for all critical items.
- Manage manufacturer interactions, including requesting quotes, evaluating proposals, coordinating samples, and conducting factory visits.
- Take charge of quality control processes such as incoming inspections covering vacuum retention, leakage, coating, and engraving; apply AQL sampling methods and handle defect claims.
- Issue purchase orders, follow up diligently, and maintain inventory stock levels with a target of 30 days supply for each SKU.
- Maintain compliance documentation for each factory and SKU to meet regulatory standards.
- Oversee inbound logistics and coordinate handoff to warehouses for efficient product flow.
