About the Internship
This internship provides a unique opportunity to engage with agricultural datasets from diverse sources including government portals, agricultural universities, ICAR/KVK centers, and other organizations. The role involves gathering, evaluating, and processing datasets based in formats like CSV, Excel, JSON, PDFs, and plain text. You will clean and normalize the data, convert it to formats suitable for AI applications such as semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation, and automate workflows using Python and APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and aggregate relevant agricultural data and knowledge from multiple public and institutional platforms.
- Assess the quality, relevance, accessibility, and scope of various data sources.
- Download and handle datasets in multiple formats ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Preprocess data to remove inconsistencies and duplicates and structure it for AI compatibility.
- Create formats that retain provenance and enable AI knowledge extraction techniques.
- Develop reusable pipelines to streamline data collection and preparation.
- Implement automation solutions using Python scripting and APIs to enhance efficiency.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Candidates must be able to commit to a part-time internship lasting two months, starting between September 5 and October 10, 2026.
- Graduation in any discipline is required.
- Relevant skills and a keen interest in data research, preparation, and AI knowledge engineering are essential.

Compensation and Perks
- Monthly stipend fixed at ₹5,000 with an additional ₹2,500 incentive, totaling ₹7,500 per month.
