Smallwares Stocker

Position Overview

The Smallwares Stocker is tasked with ensuring all products in the smallwares department are fully stocked, organized, and ready for customers at all times. Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe department area is also a key responsibility.

Key Duties

• Stock and replenish products as instructed by the Department Manager.
• Pack out new inventory to shelves following manager directions.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them professionally within the department.
• Help customers load or unload products when needed.
• Provide customers assistance regarding product location and details upon request.
• Maintain shelf tags and signage accurately.
• Support cycle counting processes as required.
• Keep the working area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Basic math proficiency.
• Strong communication skills.
• Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.
• Knowledge or familiarity with departmental smallwares products.
• Flexible availability to work varied hours including overtime if necessary.
• Physical ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to stand or walk continuously for up to four hours.
• Alignment with company values and strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work is mainly in a moderate temperature environment.
• The role requires standing and walking for prolonged periods (up to four hours without breaks).
• Physical labor includes lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing as much as 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely climb up to 15 steps on a ladder while holding product.
• Posture demands include reaching above shoulder height, turning the head, bending over, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• The workplace involves industrial vehicles like forklifts and pallet jacks operating in the area.
