Job Summary
We are recruiting a highly experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 5-8 years of industry experience to develop and deploy robust, scalable, and secure applications. The role requires deep backend expertise in Java and Spring Boot, proficiency in Angular for frontend development, and experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). A passion or background in integrating AI or machine learning APIs to embed smart features is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java (versions 8, 11, 17+) and Spring Boot.
- Architect and create responsive, modern user interfaces leveraging Angular (version 18+), TypeScript, HTML5, and SCSS/CSS3.
- Design, implement, document, and version RESTful APIs and microservices with security best practices.
- Integrate backend microservices seamlessly with frontend components.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Google Cloud Platform services including GKE and Cloud Run.
- Utilize cloud storage and database services such as Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage.
- Assist in building and maintaining automated continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Cloud Build and Tekton for smooth software delivery.
- Incorporate AI/ML functionalities by consuming advanced LLM APIs (e.g., Google Vertex AI, OpenAI) to enable intelligent search and automation capabilities.
- Collaborate with AI and data science teams to implement, test, and refine AI-enhanced workflows.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas for PostgreSQL and Oracle; utilize NoSQL databases when appropriate.
- Produce clean, maintainable code following SOLID principles and industry-recognized design patterns.
- Write unit and integration tests with JUnit, Mockito for backend and Jasmine/Karma or Jest for frontend testing.
- Conduct peer code reviews and employ tools like SonarQube, CyCode, and FOSSA to ensure code quality and security standards.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum processes including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners, UI/UX Designers, and QA Engineers to convert requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers by providing technical guidance and sharing knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 to 8 years professional experience in software development, including 4+ years in development roles.
- Strong core Java knowledge: multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, OOP principles.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Security.
- Expertise with Angular (v18+), including state management frameworks such as NgRx/RxJS, and modern web technologies.
- Proficiency working with Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, and Vertex AI.
- Experience in integrating AI/ML APIs, familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and vector databases.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL when applicable.
- Experience with development tools such as Git, Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures using Google Pub/Sub or Apache Kafka.
- Ability to optimize Angular frontend performance and manage loading states effectively.
- Familiarity with Python for AI/ML pipeline integration.
- Experience using Application Performance Monitoring tools like Google Cloud Monitoring or Dynatrace.
