Team and Opportunity

We seek experienced professionals specializing in Java to join our System Engineering and Integration group, contributing significantly to expanding our service capabilities. You will support and enhance relationships with clients primarily in the Financial Services sector, assisting them in navigating intricate financial challenges while fostering an innovative and collaborative team culture at EY.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software through coding and designing applications, systems, or processes.
• Ensure quality by reviewing programs and adhering to coding standards including unit testing.
• Create functional design documents and develop functional prototypes or screens.
• Implement and automate integration tests, manage complex live incidents, and conduct root cause analyses.
• Coordinate defect management, team releases, and provide governance inputs and status reporting.
• Review peer code and uphold development best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Programming, or Information Management.
• Between four to eight years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with software development life cycles, agile methodologies, software design, and testing processes.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ.
• Working knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.
• Desired experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Front-end proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AngularJS.
• Competence in unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit) and continuous integration/delivery tools such as GitLab, Maven, SonarQube, and Jenkins.
