About the Role
We seek an accomplished Electrical CAD Engineer to become part of our expanding engineering team, focused on delivering precise and high-quality electrical drawings for various projects. The position is based in Southampton within the CAD department, offering 37.5 hours of work per week with an annual salary of £35,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangements.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings adhering to project schedules.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and clients to grasp technical project needs.
- Revise drawings to incorporate manufacturing updates and As-Built modifications.
- Adhere to relevant company, project, and industry drawing standards.
- Participate in internal drawing review and approval processes.
- Efficiently handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Continuously enhance and maintain technical expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.
- Strong grasp of electrical fundamentals, including three-phase electrical systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on delivering quality work.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to function effectively in a fast-moving, multi-project work environment.
- Good communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven and adept at working collaboratively within a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of an EAL Level 3 Panel Wiring Certificate is advantageous.
- Familiarity with metering and electrical/electronic panel manufacturing processes.
