Overview
The Documentation Officer at Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) in Baikunthpur, Koriya, Chhattisgarh plays a pivotal role in managing the organization's documentation and communication efforts. This role collaborates with multiple departments to ensure information is organized and communicated effectively to stakeholders, enhancing project visibility to donors and partners. The position includes preparing progress and impact reports compliant with funder contracts and requires occasional travel within the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate project records such as reports and data, ensuring accessibility and compliance with organizational standards.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, progress updates, and other required documents.
- Design and implement communication strategies that promote WOTR's mission to both internal and external audiences.
- Create engaging content for newsletters, websites, social media, and other platforms.
- Write press releases, articles, and speeches showcasing organizational successes and upcoming initiatives.
- Keep stakeholders informed on project milestones and developments through timely updates.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to foster transparency and cooperation.
- Produce regular reports evaluating communication and documentation activities, recommending improvements based on analysis.
- Track media coverage and public perception to measure organizational visibility and impact.
- Support event management including preparation of promotional materials and ensuring comprehensive documentation during workshops and conferences.
- Coordinate closely with Regional Manager and thematic leaders to align communication activities with overall organizational goals.
- Promote internal communication strategies to encourage teamwork and knowledge sharing among staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in documentation or communication-related roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in document management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and contribute effectively in a team environment.
