Role Summary

In this role, you will provide personalized, one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them foster independence and a dignified lifestyle both at home and in social settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation.
• Encourage and support participation in social and community events including shopping and recreational activities.
• Help clients achieve personal development goals and celebrate their progress.
• Promote clients' choice, independence, and self-advocacy skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, activities performed, and progress made.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• Successful completion of background checks and required training.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, including proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in client environments.
• Demonstrated compassion, dependability, and commitment to positively impacting others' lives.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD or autism, including the implementation of Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS).
• Familiarity with basic behavior support methods such as redirection, visual prompts, and modifying environments to support clients.
