Role Overview

As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will join a top-tier team gaining exceptional exposure to the cyber threat environment in the Australia and New Zealand region. Your role involves providing real-time intelligence support during high-profile cyber incidents, offering insightful threat data to both internal and client security teams, along with contributing to the creation of intelligence assessments and reports that help safeguard communities and organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep constant surveillance on the international threat environment to detect and escalate regionally pertinent threats such as exploited vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise for timely reaction.
  • Gather, authenticate, and analyse data from various open and closed sources aligned to the team's intelligence needs, with focus on developments in the ANZ strategic landscape and adversary techniques.
  • Produce accurate, timely research briefs and analytical evaluations supporting a variety of deliverables including replies to RFIs, case studies, threat actor profiles, advisories, organizational threat assessments, and intelligence updates.
  • Interact with both internal stakeholders and external clients to collect technical and analytical data, understand their intelligence needs, present analytical insights effectively, and gather feedback to optimize services.
  • Contribute to general project activities within the team and on specific customer assignments as necessary.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for detecting and interpreting trends in diverse datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of producing clear, well-structured oral and written intelligence products.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the cyber threat landscape, evidenced by 1-3 years in a related role, relevant industry certifications like SANS FOR578 or SEC599, or knowledge of threat intelligence models such as MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, CIA Triad, or Diamond Model.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in cyber security, computer science, international security, or a related discipline.
  • Active AGSVA security clearance is preferred, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one.
