About the Internship

This internship offers an opportunity to dive deep into the automotive repair, maintenance, and vehicle care landscape. Interns will collaborate with mechanics and operational teams to explore industry practices, document vehicle information, and identify ways to enhance the customer experience. Research on emerging automotive technologies including diagnostics and electric vehicles will form a key part of the role, encouraging contributions toward reimagining the future of automotive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain a thorough understanding of the automotive repair and maintenance ecosystem.
• Conduct research on common car issues, repair procedures, maintenance requirements, and servicing processes.
• Engage closely with mechanics, garage teams, and operations staff to learn about current industry practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer service in car repair and maintenance.
• Assist in organizing and documenting information on various car models, typical problems, repairs, and servicing needs.
• Support process enhancement efforts to develop a technology-driven vehicle care experience.
• Study automotive industry trends, emerging technologies, diagnostics, electric vehicles (EVs), and innovations shaping the sector.
• Provide innovative ideas and insights for enhancing future automotive repair and service strategies at Instant Mechanic.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to candidates available for full-time, onsite internships starting between August 31 and October 5, 2026.
• Must be able to commit to a 3-month internship duration.
• Preference given to Mechanical Engineering students and candidates interested in automotive fields.
• Women aiming to commence or resume their careers are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants should have genuine enthusiasm for cars and the automotive industry.
• Preferred candidates will have practical experience or exposure to vehicle maintenance, garages, or workshops.
• A strong curiosity about automotive technology, diagnostics, EVs, and sustainable mobility solutions is valued.
• Ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and thrive within a dynamic startup environment is desired.
• Innovative thinkers who can propose fresh approaches to automotive repair and customer care will be favored.

Additional Information

The internship includes a monthly stipend ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 12,000. Selected interns will receive a certificate and a letter of recommendation upon completion.
