Role Overview
The Packing Operator will be entrusted with operating various packing machinery safely and effectively to meet production and quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing powder packing, palletizing, and powder handling equipment, as well as FMC (Bag-in-Box) filling and packing machines. The role involves adhering to HACCP, RMP, and site compliance protocols, maintaining thorough production records, and contributing to continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, and waste minimization initiatives.
The work schedule comprises a rotating roster of two days and two nights, followed by four days off, providing a balanced work-life arrangement and consistent rest periods between shifts.
Candidate Profile
Successful applicants will possess at least an NCEA Level 1 certification or equivalent relevant experience. Previous exposure to manufacturing or process operations with a mechanical inclination and strong problem-solving capability is essential. Candidates should have effective communication and teamwork skills, a proactive approach to health and safety, and the ability to work autonomously while following procedures and recording data accurately.
Preferred but not mandatory qualifications include experience in handling automated packing or food manufacturing equipment, a forklift license, a First Aid certificate, and familiarity with HACCP, RMP, or other primary industry compliance systems.
