Role Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Wonderful, you will tackle significant, real-world challenges in collaboration with enterprise clients, managing projects from conceptualization to deployment. You will work closely with customers to analyze critical workflows, design AI-based solutions, and implement reliable AI agents in live environments. This role demands ownership of the entire project lifecycle—from initial problem identification and system design to deployment and iterative improvements—ensuring measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with customers to identify operational challenges and define success metrics.
• Convert broad, ambiguous problems into precise technical designs and functional implementations.
• Develop AI agents that interface seamlessly with customer systems to perform operational tasks.
• Manage deployment processes, focusing on system reliability, performance, and ongoing enhancement.
• Conduct testing using real customer data, analyze outcomes, and adapt solutions accordingly.
• Work jointly with Product and Engineering teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.
• Create and maintain tools, documentation, and best practices to support scalable customer implementation.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of five years' professional experience in software engineering or technical problem-solving roles.
• Solid expertise in software architecture and system thinking.
• Proven experience integrating diverse systems and managing complex data flows.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and handling uncertain or wide-ranging challenges.
• Strong communication capabilities and a proactive ownership-driven approach.
• Eagerness to innovate and build practical AI-powered solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing engineering roles.
• Familiarity with AI agents, automation technologies, or conversational AI systems.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing production software systems.
