About the Internship

We are looking for a meticulous Transcription Intern to join ARLaang Technologies remotely. This role offers hands-on experience transcribing audio and video materials, improving transcription accuracy, and enhancing language proficiency in practical settings. Ideal candidates are attentive to detail and passionate about language and transcription quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert spoken content from audio and video files into accurately transcribed text, ensuring the original context and meaning are maintained.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English and/or regional Indian languages for precise content transcription.
• Carefully listen to recordings to distinguish words, phrases, accents, and contextual nuances.
• Proofread transcripts for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, missing elements, and correctness of interpretation.
• Maintain consistent use of terminology, names, numbers, and other key information throughout transcripts.
• Prepare and organize transcripts following specific formatting and project guidelines.
• Utilize MS Word and Excel for structuring, managing, and tracking transcription tasks.
• Adhere to instructions regarding timestamps, speaker labels, formatting, and language preferences.
• Collaborate with team members to clarify unclear content and revise transcripts to meet quality benchmarks.
• Complete assigned transcription duties punctually without compromising accuracy and detail.
• Adapt to varying audio qualities, speakers, languages, and accents while continually enhancing skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluency in English and/or at least one Indian or regional language, both spoken and written.
• Strong listening abilities with keen comprehension of audio content.
• Solid grasp of grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, and context.
• Proficient typing skills and effective written communication.
• Experience in transcription, proofreading, editing, translation, or related language tasks is advantageous.
• Effective use of MS Word and MS Excel is required.
• High attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.

Additional Details

• Internship duration: 2 months, with immediate start preferred.
• This is a fully remote internship requiring personal computer/laptop access.
• Candidates familiar with local or regional Hindi dialects are preferred.
• Women aiming to start or restart their career are encouraged to apply.
• Stipend ranges from ₹8,000 to ₹11,000 monthly, comprising a fixed pay of ₹6,000 to ₹8,000 and incentives between ₹2,000 and ₹3,000.
• Flexible working hours with certificate and letter of recommendation provided upon completion.
• Applicants should be available to begin between September 1, 2026, and October 6, 2026.
