Jarvis Technology & Strategy Consulting, one of India's leading political and policy consulting firms, invites applications for an internship as a Junior Manual Tester. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze application requirements and develop comprehensive test scenarios.
- Design and execute test cases aligned with project needs.
- Carry out functional testing on both web and mobile platforms.
- Conduct various testing types including smoke, sanity, regression, and exploratory.
- Detect, document, and report software defects with detailed reproduction steps.
- Confirm bug fixes and perform follow-up regression testing to ensure issue resolution.
- Test numerous application workflows considering both positive and negative cases.
- Execute basic API testing using Postman to verify response codes and data.
- Utilize SQL for foundational database validations.
- Maintain and update testing documentation and test cases systematically.
- Collaborate closely with developers to clarify and resolve reported bugs.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups and agile/scrum ceremonies.
- Adopt and adhere to the organization's quality assurance standards and processes.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be available for a full-time, in-office internship in Delhi.
- Internship start date must be between 2nd September 2026 and 7th October 2026.
- Commitment to a 3-month internship tenure.
- Candidates from Delhi with matching skills and interests are preferred.
- Especially encouraged are women seeking to begin or resume their careers.
- Recommended candidates include students pursuing Computer Science Engineering or related fields.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in basic software testing principles and manual testing techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL to conduct database testing.
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub version control.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum.
- Experience or interest in testing Android/iOS apps is a plus.
- Awareness of software development and testing life cycles (SDLC, STLC).
- Familiarity with test automation basics is advantageous but not mandatory.
