Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a diligent and safety-conscious Utility Worker to join our on-site team. This role is crucial in making sure our vehicle fleet stays compliant with Federal and State OSHA and CDC guidelines. Additionally, you will maintain the presentation and condition of our vehicles, serving as a representative of our company to the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, and wash both the interior and exterior of each vehicle thoroughly.
  • Record and report the end-of-day mileage of all fleet vehicles.
  • Detail a designated number of vehicles monthly according to agreement.
  • Inspect and replenish system fluids, including oils, DEF, coolant, and washer fluid.
  • Securely close and lock the office and shop at the end of each day.
  • Ensure all vehicle emergency equipment—fire extinguishers, body-fluid kits, and first aid kits—are fully stocked and operational.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and services performed.
  • Inspect fleet for damage, document findings, and promptly communicate to the manager or supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and cooperative workspace.
  • Assist team members as needed.
  • Safely move vehicles between job sites and work areas.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Must have no criminal convictions including DWI, DUI, assault, or controlled substance possession in the last five years.
  • Required to successfully complete pre-employment assessments including a performance evaluation, DOT physical exam, drug and alcohol screening, background checks, and other tests.
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience or equivalent in similar roles.
  • A valid, current driver's license is mandatory.
  • Possess general knowledge regarding fuels, lubricants, vehicle and fuel safety, and cleaning agents.
  • Physical ability to lift or move loads up to fifty pounds and perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, or crawling as needed.

Education

High school diploma or GED is required.
