A prominent client is seeking an Engineering Manager who will serve as a vital bridge connecting the Head of Engineering with Principal Engineers and technical leads. This position demands the ability to seamlessly meld strategic business insight with technical expertise, fostering collaboration between stakeholders and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives into clear actionable technical plans.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering to refine project delivery methodologies.
- Offer guidance and review input on architecture and code, with limited direct coding involvement (approximately 10-20%).
- Lead a team of 5 to 6 engineers, nurturing their professional development while ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses strong technical standing respected by senior engineering personnel.
- Has the capability to interpret and convert business requirements into technical strategies.
- Enjoys both leadership of people and shaping technical direction.
- Comfortable in a role that emphasizes leadership over direct coding participation.
- Preferably experienced in asset management, financial services, or similarly regulated industries.
