Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated software applications adhering to industry standards.
• Implement robust security protocols for web applications to ensure strong protection throughout development stages.
• Architect software systems and lead backend development teams by providing technical direction.
• Investigate and incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into the software development lifecycle, influencing requirements, coding, testing, and deployment while aligning with best practices.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze user needs and convert them into technical solutions.
• Create and upkeep technical documentation including design specs, user guides, and release notes.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and testing to uphold software quality and performance.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Conform to organizational development processes, standards, and security policies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across all layers of the product technical stack.
• Identify, plan, and resolve technical debt across related products effectively.
• Combine technological expertise with a focus on business objectives to drive impactful organizational initiatives, including innovation and strategic goals.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar fields.
• Over eight years of practical experience in software development, proficient in Java or equivalent object-oriented languages.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing algorithms, preferably in optimization or complex problem domains with non-deterministic elements.
• Strong skills designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs that are secure, scalable, and well-documented.
• Expertise in building enterprise-grade microservices and cloud-ready applications.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and system architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with a proactive learning attitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
• Proven mentorship skills and capability to lead technical best practices.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Adaptive to learning new technologies, APIs, frameworks, and tools swiftly.
• Flexible mindset to work across multiple technology stacks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a significant advantage.
• Experience with C++ is highly regarded; familiarity with TypeScript or Python is beneficial.
• Competence in database design and development using SQL and/or NoSQL technologies.
• Experience using AWS services such as Kibana, Elasticsearch, Lambda, S3, and EC2.
• Exposure to the Qt Framework.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Marionette.
