Role Overview

We are seeking Senior Engineers skilled in Azure Integration Services to contribute to solution development, architecture design, and implementation on Azure platforms. The opportunity includes collaborating on projects for prominent clients and leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Azure Data Bricks and Synapse.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions using Azure App Services, including Web Apps, Function Apps, API Apps, and Logic Apps.
• Configure and deploy Azure integration solutions with Azure Service Bus and Azure SQL databases.
• Architect large-scale cloud/cloud infrastructure incorporating Azure PaaS and IaaS services with security and governance best practices.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code for compute and storage resources in cloud environments.
• Implement Azure network architectures including VNets, load balancing with Azure Traffic Manager, patching, and installation tasks.
• Manage Azure role-based access control (RBAC), Azure Resource Manager, and tagging strategies.
• Design data replication strategies between Azure environments and on-premises systems.
• Support Azure production environments by abstracting and developing support requirements.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including pilots and crew of a major UK airline to understand operational challenges and design proactive solutions.

Technical and Behavioral Skills Required

• Hands-on experience in developing and deploying Azure App Services and related PaaS components.
• Strong expertise in designing cloud architectures and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with Azure Service Bus, Azure SQL DB, and enterprise-grade cloud network architectures.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to think analytically and organize work efficiently.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

• Experience migrating on-premises applications to Azure PaaS/IaaS.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
• Hands-on programming knowledge in .NET framework and C#.

Project Details

The incumbent will contribute to a critical project for the UK's second largest airline. The role provides a unique chance to interact with frontline users such as pilots and crew to innovate operational enhancements using technologies like Azure Data Bricks and Synapse. The candidate will report to a Portfolio Manager within an Agile Scrum team of up to nine members. Onsite opportunities depend on performance and business demands.
