Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

The Quantity Surveyor position involves supporting procurement activities for construction projects, evaluating and selecting qualified suppliers and subcontractors, and managing contract administration. The role focuses on quantifying work progress to prepare payment requests, verifying subcontractor claims alongside project management, and finalizing accounts with clients and other parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing all materials required for project execution as specified in tenders.
• Support assessment and selection of competent suppliers and subcontractors for construction tasks.
• Measure and quantify work completed at various construction phases to generate periodic progress payment submissions for clients.
• Review and validate progress claims made by subcontractors in coordination with the Project Manager or assigned personnel, ensuring consistency with actual quantities and quality of work.
• Perform contract administration responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the resolution and finalization of accounts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or Diploma in Quantity Surveying is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with a main contractor in construction projects.
