Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planner SPIR with a minimum of 8 years in engineering roles within the Petrochemical, Petroleum Refining, or Power Generation sectors. The candidate must possess at least 4 years as a Planner/Scheduler specifically for Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting, Refractory tasks and 2 years handling TSA activities.
Responsibilities and Skills
- Develop detailed short, medium, and long-term work plans spanning 14, 90, and 365 days using the QSGTL SAP tool for contractor work, coordinating interfaces with company planners.
- Create work packages and plans for small to medium-scale shutdowns.
- Use Primavera P6 planning software for resource loading, scheduling, progress reporting, and forecasting.
- Prepare progress status reports and forecasts for stakeholders and team members.
- Interpret lifting plans and incorporate them into work plans.
- Identify and requisition appropriate materials, workforce, tools, and equipment for larger jobs.
- Work effectively with computer systems, primarily Microsoft Windows and Office suite.
- Utilize SAP-PM, CMMS, Microsoft Access Database, and other MS Office applications at an advanced level.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline such as Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Good understanding of various process equipment and relevant scaffolding codes and British standards.
- Ability to read and understand isometric, PEFS, DEPs, scaffolding, insulation, painting drawings, and small plant modifications.
- Fluency in English language with IELTS 6 equivalent proficiency for reading, writing, and speaking.
- Preferably hold a valid Qatari driving license and completed defensive driving training to operate vehicles on an as-needed basis.

The role demands hands-on experience in the petrochemical industry planning and coordination, with a strong emphasis on scaffolding and related activities. The candidate's familiarity with specific software tools and standards is critical to support work planning and scheduling functions efficiently.
