Job description

Position Overview

This full-time Machine Operator role is based in Darra, Queensland, and involves working day shifts and contributing to the operation of rooftop tile manufacturing machines. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the operator will handle several tasks to maintain efficient production and uphold quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various machines in the factory producing rooftop tiles, including restarting and resetting tile machines.
  • Identify faults in machines and conduct quality control inspections on the output.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and adhere to 5S organizational standards.
  • Record data accurately on quality control sheets.
  • Conduct routine checks such as oil level assessments and refilling sand bins, requiring relevant certifications.
  • Support other team members by assisting in additional tasks as needed.
  • Ensure recycling conveyors remain clean and functional.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to CSR's Preventive Maintenance Way standards.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the work area.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an additional 1.5 hours of overtime when production requires it.
  • Occasional Saturday shifts (6 to 8 hours) may be needed, compensated as overtime.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a production or process-oriented technical role within manufacturing or warehousing settings.
  • A strong emphasis on workplace safety and compliance.
  • Openness to learning and developing new skills.
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
