About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Kitchen Porter to join our team at Haven located in Filey, England. This role is critical to maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen environment, with several opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, alongside sanitising kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors in line with health and safety regulations.
• Assist chefs with fundamental food preparation tasks such as vegetable chopping, ingredient prep, and assembling simple dishes.
• Manage kitchen stock by organising ingredients, unpacking deliveries, and properly storing items to maintain inventory levels.

Candidate Requirements

• No previous experience is mandatory, although prior roles within kitchen settings, porter duties, or catering sectors are advantageous.
• Possess a diligent work ethic capable of undertaking physical activities including lifting, carrying heavy items, and standing for extended durations.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills with effective communication abilities.
• Availability and willingness to work diverse shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
