Job description
Overview
Moghara Interior Design & Services seeks a resourceful Interior Designer skilled in AutoCAD and SketchUp to join their team. The role involves comprehending client needs, proposing appropriate design concepts, producing 2D and 3D designs, and overseeing the design process through to execution. The position supports flexibility in location including Jajpur, Bhubaneswar, anywhere in Odisha, and remote options with occasional site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze client preferences, lifestyles, and budgets to inform design decisions.
- Develop inventive, feasible, and visually appealing interior design solutions.
- Create detailed 2D floor plans and furniture layouts using AutoCAD.
- Generate 3D interior models and visualizations with SketchUp.
- Prepare varied 3D rendered views for effective client presentations.
- Design multiple residential interior areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, modular kitchens, wardrobes, dining spaces, TV units, false ceilings, and pooja rooms.
- Produce precise working and execution drawings, including electrical, ceiling, and furniture layouts.
- Recommend appropriate materials, colors, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
- Present and revise designs based on client feedback actively.
- Collaborate with project and site teams when necessary.
- Ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and readiness for execution.
- Maintain thorough documentation and project drawings.
Required Skills
- Proficient with AutoCAD for 2D drawing creation.
- Advanced skills in SketchUp for 3D modeling and design visualization.
- Strong grasp of interior spatial planning concepts.
- Capability to devise functional, attractive 3D interior designs.
- Experience with residential interior design projects.
- Attention to detail and a refined design aesthetic.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with rendering software such as Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, or D5 Render.
- Knowledge of modular kitchen and wardrobe design principles.
- Understanding of furniture detailing and interior material selection.
- Experience preparing execution-level drawings and direct client interactions.
- Exposure to site and installation processes.
Candidate Profile
- Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience in interior design companies considered ideal, though exceptional portfolios outside this range are welcome.
- Ability to independently conceptualize and develop design ideas beyond basic instructions.
- Strong communication skills for client and team interaction.
- Creativity paired with practical execution knowledge.
- Capability to manage projects independently and adhere to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Odia language is favored due to regional market requirements; Hindi and basic English skills are advantageous.
Additional Information
- The salary range offered is ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 per month, varying according to experience, portfolio quality, and skills.

Location Flexibility
