Job description
Role Overview
Joining as a Dispenser in one of our UK-based stores, you will play an essential role within the pharmacy team, supporting pharmacists and allied health professionals to deliver safe and effective pharmacy and healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately while ensuring the safe supply of medications including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
- Collaborating closely with healthcare colleagues in-store to help manage and provide pharmacy services.
- Offering advice and care to patients regarding their medications and directing queries to pharmacists when needed.
- Adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that promote the legal and safe dispensing of medicines.
- Staying informed about new innovations and complying with operational guidelines.
- Assisting patients in managing prescriptions efficiently to encourage proper medicine adherence and minimize waste.
- Engaging with evolving in-store technologies that enhance dispensing processes and patient safety.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or an equivalent credential; alternatively, candidates should have completed the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Valid UK right to work, as this position does not support Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience
- Background in community pharmacy practice is desirable.
