DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to enhance application development and manage infrastructure operations through the deployment of automation, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, cloud-native technologies, and ensuring platform reliability. This position demands close collaboration with development, testing, security, and business units to facilitate streamlined software delivery systems and maintain stable production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement and manage cloud environments primarily on Azure and AWS platforms.
• Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker to package applications.
• Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Develop and apply Infrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Administer source control repositories using Git-based platforms including GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Perform scripting tasks in Shell, Python, and PowerShell for automation needs.
• Implement monitoring solutions using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK to ensure system health.
• Manage Linux server environments and ensure security is incorporated throughout CI/CD processes via DevSecOps best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a minimum of eight years in the role.
• Proficiency with leading cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS.
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Experienced in source control workflows utilizing Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
• Ability to script effectively with Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
• Competency in using monitoring technologies such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Solid background in Linux system administration.
• Understanding and application of DevSecOps principles to uphold security throughout deployment and operations.
