Job description
Role Summary
Seeking an adept Azure DevOps Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience to architect, deploy, and sustain robust cloud infrastructure and streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation within Microsoft Azure environments.
Key Duties
- Architect and oversee Azure cloud infrastructure and comprehensive DevOps frameworks.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps services.
- Automate application lifecycle tasks including build, test, deployment, and release stages.
- Utilize Azure components such as VMs, App Services, AKS, Storage solutions, Functions, Key Vault, SQL databases, and associated networking.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code methodologies using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for provisioning.
- Handle version control utilizing Git or Azure Repos along with strategic branching and release management.
- Set up and maintain Azure DevOps artifacts like Pipelines, Boards, Repos, and Artifacts.
- Integrate automated testing and quality gates within CI/CD workflows.
- Deploy and administer containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking via Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Enforce security protocols involving Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, RBAC, Key Vault, and access control policies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and seamless application deployments.
- Diagnose and resolve deployment, infrastructure, network, and live system issues including root cause analyses.
- Collaborate effectively with development, architecture, QA, security, and infrastructure stakeholders in Agile settings.
- Enhance cloud resources focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Required Expertise
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps platforms and Azure cloud services.
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) strategies.
- Strong command over Git version control and Azure Pipelines creation and management.
- Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Expertise with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
- Skill in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate workflows.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Azure Key Vault security components.
- Understanding of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Fundamental networking knowledge relevant to Azure cloud services.
