About the Role

We seek an experienced Software Architect to join our architecture team, tasked with designing and architecting our cloud-based platform using modern technologies and methodologies. The role involves close collaboration with Engineering and Product teams to ensure alignment of implementations with architectural design, delivering scalable enterprise solutions. The candidate should have a strong grasp of technological risks, non-functional requirements, superior communication, teamwork abilities, and a positive, driven attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to define the product roadmap and design technical enablers.
• Implement a secure, cost-effective, reliable, and scalable cloud platform.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards and best practices.
• Lead design and deployment of scalable, secure software solutions.
• Effectively communicate non-functional requirements and architectural designs in formal and informal settings.
• Identify and mitigate strategic technical debt.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure solution designs align with architectural goals.
• Evaluate and suggest tools, technologies, and processes to maintain high-quality platform products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
• Contribute actively to core platform packages and template projects.
• Stay informed about technological advancements to enhance platform offerings.
• Partner with Architecture, DevOps, and Platform Engineering teams to automate deployments, enforce governance, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Guarantee data security, privacy, and compliance with policies and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in Software, Technical, or Solution Architecture roles.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and design patterns.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, reliable distributed enterprise systems capable of handling high traffic volumes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft technology stack including .NET (C#), Web API, Azure Services (Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Application Insights, Key Vault, Azure Front Door), and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services such as GKE, Postgres, and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks including Angular and React.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience using DDD, TDD, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, and Kafka.
• Exposure to container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Azure and .NET certifications are considered an advantage.
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Co-Pilot to improve design and coding productivity.
• Strong interest in AI technologies and applying them to enhance delivery and value for the business and customers.
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
• Excellent skills in communication, documentation, design, and managing stakeholders.
