Primary Responsibilities

• Drive the technical vision, architecture, and design of enterprise-grade software solutions in Java and Jakarta EE environments.
• Collaborate with product management and development teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to deliver scalable and secure applications.
• Lead solution architecture incorporating Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, cloud infrastructure, and event-driven architectures.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers to foster technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Address complex challenges related to concurrency, data consistency, and distributed processing in cloud-native systems.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies in Jakarta EE, cloud platforms, and software architecture to drive innovation and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and make informed decisions under pressure in production environments.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong proficiency in Java SE (minimum version 11, preferably 17 or 21) and comprehensive expertise with Jakarta EE 10 specifications including JPA (EclipseLink), CDI, EJB, JAX-RS, and annotation processing.
• Experience with Jakarta EE containers such as WebSphere Liberty or comparable platforms.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with cloud-native development including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
• Expertise in asynchronous programming using JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ, and patterns such as SAGA, command-response, inbox/outbox.
• Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design concepts including bounded contexts, aggregates, and repositories, with the ability to apply hexagonal architecture principles.
• Knowledge of distributed system design, including eventual consistency, high availability, scalability, and resilience in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures using tools like Quarkus or MicroProfile.
• Strong background in relational database management (PostgreSQL), data modeling, transaction management, and concurrency control.
• Familiarity with developer tools such as Git for source control, Jenkins and ArgoCD for CI/CD, and container runtime tools including Docker and Podman.
• Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability mitigation strategies in cloud deployments.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of 5 years and up to 12 years of relevant experience working with Java and J2EE technologies.
