Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to create cloud-native, event-driven applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, React, and Kafka. This position involves designing microservices, deploying applications via CI/CD pipelines, and enhancing production reliability on Microsoft Azure within a collaborative team focused on clean code and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve full stack functionalities using Java, Spring Boot, and React technologies.
• Architect microservices and manage event-driven processes leveraging Apache Kafka.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration solutions.
• Optimize delivery workflows through continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies.
• Deploy and manage services on Microsoft Azure with containerization tools.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA teams, and engineering colleagues in Agile processes.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, enhancing system reliability.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable Java programming experience within enterprise settings.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices design.
• Practical knowledge in developing frontend features using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platform and container orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Competence in using Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting production environments.
• Understanding of SQL and database integration strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking or financial services sectors.
• Possession of cloud certifications, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
