Overview
Join an advanced technology team based in London within a leading proprietary trading firm that places software engineering at the heart of its business approach. This group handles both the trading systems and essential underlying infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software across various layers, including low-level programming for network devices and building high-performance trading platforms.
- Assume full ownership of projects and deliver production-quality code starting from day one.
- Collaborate closely and directly with traders in an interactive manner.
- Drive improvements in daily operations by enhancing processes and creating useful tools.
- Participate actively in planning product roadmaps and implementing new features within an adaptable development setting.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar educational background or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of C++ standards including C++11, C++17, C++20, and C++23, alongside proficiency in Python.
- Experience within the finance industry or substantial involvement in high-performance software development environments.
- Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize various tasks and reliably produce high-quality results.
