Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a motivated and seasoned Project Management Office (PMO) Head to lead our PMO team. This crucial leadership position involves directing the successful deployment of innovative products and steering strategic organizational projects. The leader will ensure alignment between project objectives and corporate goals, emphasizing timely, budget-conscious, and within-scope project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the executive board to emphasize important action items, prioritize projects, and communicate progress, ensuring alignment of project aims with company strategy.
• Contribute significantly as part of the strategy team, fostering the development and implementation of organizational long-term plans, ensuring project management supports growth and business objectives.
• Design and implement an automated tracking system using Microsoft Power Platform to monitor performance and quality across more than 60 projects via key performance indicators, with ongoing evaluation and strategic adjustment to boost outcomes.
• Lead the incorporation of Agile methodologies into all projects, managing a team of Agile Ambassadors to promote best practices and continual process enhancement.
• Maintain strict adherence to project management methodologies across projects, ensuring compliance with frameworks and fostering continuous improvements.
• Conduct frequent management audits on active projects to assure best practice adherence, detect inefficiencies, and encourage process enhancements.
• Assist in talent management by organizing knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills of new project managers, and actively participate in recruiting proficient project management candidates.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• Possession of PMP certification is strongly preferred; additional credentials such as Agile, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2 add value.
• At least 10 years of extensive project management experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a PMO leadership or managerial capacity.
• Proven experience managing software development projects utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, or comparable software for project tracking and reporting.
• Substantial background in software development or IT-driven environments.
• Successful history of leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects from start to finish.
• Direct experience managing PMO operations or coordinating multiple teams to meet business goals.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities, adept at conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in managing and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of responsibility and teamwork.
• Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to creatively resolve challenges and maintain project focus.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management expertise, capable of prioritizing and juggling multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic environment.
