Role Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to enhance our Capture and Intelligence platform. This role involves development within a Python-focused monorepo powering communication capture, compliance workflows, event processing, AI classification, investigative tools, and decision governance products. Candidates must navigate complex production environments integrating external APIs, OAuth, asynchronous processing, Postgres databases, and AI-driven intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain critical backend components including data capture services, shared platform models, event pipelines, asynchronous workers, and AI-driven workflows.
• Execute high-impact projects across various services and domains with superior technical proficiency.
• Contribute to client-facing interfaces that facilitate AI-powered investigative workflows.
• Troubleshoot complicated production and customer issues encompassing data accuracy, API integration, asynchronous failures, scalability, performance, and compliance processes.
• Engage actively in a modern agile environment featuring design reviews, code reviews, paired programming, and clear technical documentation.

Technical Environment

• Python 3.12, Pydantic, psycopg/Postgres, SQL, asynchronous job orchestration, AWS infrastructure, SQS/Lambda event handling, containerization via Docker.
• Shared platform models covering accounts, feeds, events, jobs, schedules, agents, investigations, decisions, archives, and integrations.
• Capture services managing API clients, authentication workflows, data normalization, synchronization, retries, and historical backfills.
• AI capabilities utilizing structured large language model outputs, evaluations, token management, embeddings/vector searches, local models, and agent workflows.
• Frontend implemented with React and TypeScript for managing settings, runs, investigations, decisions, and operational tasks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Between 3 to 5 years’ experience architecting full-stack solutions with ownership of key technical areas.
• Proficient in Python programming including typed code, unit testing, and debugging in production; experience in Python data modeling highly desirable.
• Experience with TypeScript and familiarity with modern UI frameworks.
• Operational knowledge of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL preferred.
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications, particularly in AWS environments, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with designing distributed systems incorporating queues, workers, retries, idempotency, rate-limiting, and fault recovery strongly valued.
• Expertise in API development and integration.
