Overview
Join a well-funded early-stage Enterprise AI startup dedicated to resolving complex operational challenges for some of the largest global enterprises. They're seeking 2-3 outstanding Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate closely with their small, tech-focused team in London.
Role Details
This position is distinct from traditional solutions engineering or presales roles. You'll work directly alongside enterprise clients, comprehending intricate real-world issues, architecting tailored solutions, and personally delivering production-quality software, occasionally within remarkably short timeframes.
Your responsibilities will span software development, systems architecture, AI technologies, and hands-on customer problem-solving, with insights gained in the field directly influencing the core product's evolution.
Candidate Profile
- Have between 1 to 5 years of professional experience, demonstrating strong software engineering skills.
- Proven track record of launching production software in client-facing or startup contexts.
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and full-stack development.
- Solid fundamentals in systems design and software architecture.
- Experience utilizing modern AI and large language model (LLM) tools.
- Comfortable engaging with senior enterprise stakeholders.
- Possess a problem-first mindset prioritizing solutions over attachment to specific technologies.
- Prior roles such as early or founding engineer, startup contributor, or Forward Deployed Engineer are especially relevant.
Working Conditions & Compensation
- Based in London with a hybrid work setup, typically requiring four days in the office per week.
- Competitive base salary ranging from A3100,000 to A3175,000 plus substantial equity participation.
- Frequent travel both within the UK and internationally to support key customers.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
