Data Analyst

Overview

This role involves supporting audit and data analytics activities by managing data workflows including importing, cleaning, validating, and modeling data to aid audit reviews and fraud investigations within Qatar Airways Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and sustain effective partnerships with operational teams to act as a trusted advisor throughout the group.
• Contribute to delivering audit objectives aligned with the Internal Audit's and Group's strategic goals.
• Analyze both structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources; uncover patterns and trends and communicate insights systematically.
• Prepare statistical evidence and data support to inform findings and aid decision-making processes.
• Facilitate corroboration of investigation details and help generate detailed reports containing recommendations for action.
• Engage in designing and automating reports using corporate tools.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities through data analytics and inform the Line Manager accordingly.
• Collaborate with IA Management to understand information needs and troubleshoot data-related challenges.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools and programming languages including Power BI, Alteryx, Python, SQL, and Big Query to automate data workflows and ensure data integrity.
• Conduct complex, well-documented testing relevant to specialized audit areas.
• Maintain clear communication with relevant stakeholders to support Internal Audit reviews.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience, preferably with auditing exposure.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities.
• Excellent command of English, with strong listening, verbal communication, and public speaking skills suitable for senior management interactions.
• Demonstrated business insight and analytical aptitude.
• Proficient in data analysis methodologies.
