Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Engage in detailed analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design, encompassing design capture, layout, testing, evaluation, and debugging of prototype integrated circuits.
- Develop and simulate analog and mixed-signal architectures at the block level, supporting RF design and layout activities aligned with block specifications.
- Perform laboratory testing, characterization, and troubleshooting for design verification and refinement.
- Innovate new circuit designs aimed at patent generation or protection as trade secrets.
- Guide layout designers in executing sensitive custom layouts to ensure fidelity and performance.
- Contribute to product definition, design test programs, and address manufacturing, production, and customer requirements.
- Lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in microelectronics or electronics engineering.
- Experience in CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including components such as bandgap references, low-dropout regulators (LDO), analog-to-digital converters (ADC), digital-to-analog converters (DAC), phase-locked loops (PLL), oscillators (OSC), transmitters (TX), or receivers (RX).
- Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection and latch-up phenomena in integrated circuits.
- Proficiency in behavioral modeling using Verilog-A and Verilog-AMS languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective presentations and documentation.
