Role Overview

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will serve as the main contact for approximately 2,000 Canada-based employees, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all payroll functions across multiple jurisdictions. This role is part of an eight-member team that manages Deloitte's national payroll administration and related client services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing with high accuracy and punctuality.
  • Oversee payroll case management activities efficiently.
  • Perform gross to net payroll calculations and ensure payroll balances.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Talent, Legal, and Benefits providers to resolve payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Prepare and submit necessary payroll deductions and remittances.
  • Carry out year-end payroll activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of three years working experience in large-scale, multi-jurisdictional payroll environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Holding or actively pursuing Canadian Payroll Association certification.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous due to interactions with national and global clients.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft payroll systems is considered a strong asset.
